Lighted Holiday Parade November 16
The Annual Holiday Parade will be held on Thursday, November 16 beginning at 6:00 p.m.This year there will be a $100 prize awarded to the best lighted display. The prize will be given to the charity of the winner's choice. The Parade route will be as follows: E. 6th St. to 2nd Ave. to E. 5th St. to B Ave. to East 4th St. with line up on E. 6th St.
Get Ready for the Festival of Trees 2023 in Belle Plaine
The Festival of Trees will showcase the artistic talents of area businesses, organizations, and families through the trees they decorated for this event. Visitors to the festival can bring coins to vote on their favorite tree, bid on trees up for auction, or just admire the creativity. They can get a chance at one of the many door prizes and enjoy free coffee or hot apple cider.
Final days of Virginia Gay Hospital Annual Tree Walk & 100 Year Open House
Virginia Gay Hospital will host their 100th Anniversary Open House. Tours will begin in the Vinton Family Medical Clinic waiting room between 5-7:30 PM. A staff member will guide you through the VGH Facility highlighting the services and history of the hospital. See behind the scenes in OR, Lab, Imaging and more.At the completion of tours, you will be escorted to the Clinic Conference room full of Christmas spirit and a wine & cheese reception.
Grilled Tenderloin Dinner Thursday, November 9

Benton County Public Health offers SafeSitter Babysitting Classes 12/2/23
Benton County Public Health is excited to begin teaching SafeSitter babysitting courses here in Benton County beginning Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at the Vinton Public Library. The SafeSitter babysitting course curriculum has been around for decades, and allows students opportunities to interact with their peers as they learn everything from personal & internet safety, to first aid & choking rescue skills, to business skills and behavior management.
